How to create a Widget Display



Step 1: Navigate to the Widget Display page

From the left menu, browse to Engage > Widget Displays.


Step 2: Add a new Widget Display



On the Widget Displays page:
Click the +Display button to create a new Widget Display.


Step 3: Enter the name and the select the Filter and Theme



In the Create New Widget Display Modal, enter the following:
Display Name – enter a short name to help you identify this Widget Display.
Filter – select the Filter you wish to use for the Display.
Click Next

In the Display Theme tab of the modal, enter the following:


Widget Themes – select a Theme for the Display. You can preview each theme by selecting its checkbox. Learn more about Widget Display Themes
Click Finish button. This will lead you to the Edit Display page where you can customise the Widget Display – see Customise your Widget Display.

Click on the bottom right Save Changes button to save your new Display.


How to edit a Widget Display



Step 1: Navigate to the Widget Display page

From the left menu, browse to Engage > Widget Displays.


Step 2: Select the Widget Display you wish to edit



On the Widgets Display page:
Locate the Widget Display you wish to edit
Click the corresponding Edit button under the Actions column


Step 3: Edit the Widget Display



In the Edit Display page:
You can customise the Widget Display as required by accessing the options under the tabs in right sidebar - see Customising Widget Displays.
Click the Save Changes button in the bottom right to save your changes when done.
If you wish to start-over and reset all settings to defaults, click on the Reset defaults link - any custom changes you have made will be lost.
Finally, click the Close button once you’ve finished editing.


Customising Widget Displays



Buzzspark provides several Theme for Widget Displays. Each theme can be easily customised to match your brand and desired experience.

All custom options are grouped into tabs in the right sidebar when editing a Widget Display. Our visual editor simplifies the entire process for non-technical users and provides access for developers to edit underlying code or to create completely unique experiences.

Refer to the articles below for details of all available custom options under each of the tabs in the visual editor. You might also find it helpful to reference the structure and terminology used in Widget Displays.

Settings– the Filter, Theme, Colour scheme, and how new Tiles are fetched and shown.
Styles – fonts, background, and size, spacing and animation of Inline Tiles.
Banner – adding optional headers on the display.
Slider Options – navigation and styling options for Slider themes only.
Inline Tile – layout, styles, and special effects for Inline Tiles.
Expanded Tile - layout, styles, and animation for Expanded Tiles.
Adverts – showcasing brand, promotional or sponsored content alongside UGC.
Sharing & Analytics – sharing options and tracking events in Google analytics.
Custom Code – editing or creating custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript code templates.
