Customising Expanded Tiles in Widget Displays
This article covers the Expanded Tile tab in Widget Displays, which allows you to customise the layout, styles, and user interactive options for Expanded Tiles in Widget Displays. You can also view all available custom options along with the structure and terminology used in Widget Displays.
An Expanded Tile refers to the enlarging and highlighting of a single Inline Tile when a user clicks on it.
Expanded Tiles are supported on all Themes in Widget Displays. In addition to customising the layout and styling of Expanded Tiles, you can also customise interactive features like Product Hotspots, CTAs, and Sharing or turn these features off completely.
From the left menu, browse to Engage > Widget Displays.
Click on the Edit button under the Actions column for Widget Display you wish to customise.
On the Edit Display page, click on the Expanded Tile tab in the right sidebar to edit any of the options described below.
Layout– select the layout of Expanded Tiles. Choose from:
Landscape– the Tile’s image/video is shown on the left, with the text on the right. The Landscape layout automatically defaults to Portrait on mobile devices.
Portrait– the Tile’s image/video is shown at the top, with the text below.
Background Colour - sets the background colour of the expanded Tile.
Item Visibility – lets you select individual items to show in Expanded Tiles.
Profile Image Style – options for customising the size and border width and colour for Profile Images.
Screen Name Style – options for customising the font size and colour of Screen Names.
Display Name Style – options for customising the font size and colour for Display Name.
Social Icon Style – options for customising the size of social icons in Expanded Tiles.
Post Time Style - options for customising the font size and colour of Post Times.
Post Body Style – options for customising the font size and colour of text and links. You can also control the maximum length of characters a Tile’s text that is shown in Expanded Tiles or enter 0 to disable truncating.
Product Hotspots – options for customising the icon, size, and colour for Hotspots as well as specific items that you’d like to show within Hotspots:
Product Image – show/hide image of product in Hotspots.
Product Name – show/hide product name Hotspots.
Product Price – show/hide product price in Hotspots.
Product Description – show/hide product description in Hotspots.
Max Desc. Length – options for auto-truncating the product description.
Product Button - show/hide button in Hotspots that users can click to purchase or learn more.
Product CTAs – options for customising Product CTAs in Expanded Tiles.
Product Image – show/hide image of product.
Product Name – show/hide name of product.
Product Price – show/hide price of product.
Product Description – show/hide product description.
Max Desc. Length – options for auto-truncating the product description.
Product Button – show/hide a customisable button in Expanded Tiles.
Product Button Style - options for customising the text, font size and colours of the Product Button.
Share Button – options for customising networks to which Tiles can be shared.
Network Interactions – options for customising Reply, Retweet and Like icons for Twitter Tiles.
Click on the bottom right Save Changes button to save your changes when done.
What are Expanded Tiles in Widget Displays?
An Expanded Tile refers to the enlarging and highlighting of a single Inline Tile when a user clicks on it.

Customising Widget Displays – Expanded Tile Tab
From the left menu, browse to Engage > Widget Displays.
Click on the Edit button under the Actions column for Widget Display you wish to customise.
