What are the differences between Widget and Event Displays?

Displays showcase real-time curated feeds of your content across your different marketing touchpoints and can be customised to match your brand and desired experience. There are two types of Displays in Buzzspark, Widget Displays and Event Displays and the differences between them are outlined below.


Intended for:
Widget Display - Showcasing real-time feeds of curated content in websites and apps
Event Display - Showcasing real-time feeds of curated content on digital displays.

Use cases:
Widget Display - Landing page galleries, Inspiration galleries, Product range and product page galleries and Checkout pages.
Event Display - In-store digital signage, Indoor/outdoor digital displays at workplaces, events, and conferences, Digital-out-of-home (dooh) displays such as billboards, bus-top shelters, shopping malls, airports, stations, and public venues.

User Interaction:
Widget Display - Fully interactive. Users can interact with content via keyboard, mice, or touchscreens.
Event Display – Limited interaction using URLs and QR codes.

Built- in themes:
Widget Display - Fully interactive. Users can interact with content via keyboard, mice, or touchscreens.
Event Display - Billboard, Flow, Quadrant, Slide Show, Spiral and Stream

Supported features:
Widget Display – Manual or lazy loading, Banners, Inline & Expanded Tiles, Advert and sponsored content, Product Hotspot, product CTAs, Sharing, Google Analytics Tracking, Customisable in UI and Custom Code.
Event Display – Keyboard or automatic control , Header& Footer, Inline & Expanded Tiles, Advert and sponsored content, Google Analytics Tracking, Customisable in UI and Custom Code.
