Customising Event Display Styles

This article covers the Styles tab in Event Displays, which allows you to change the font, background, and size, spacing and animation of Inline Tiles on Event Display. You can also view all available custom options along with the structure and terminology used in Event Displays.


Customising Event Displays – Style Tab



From the left menu, browse to Engage > Event Displays.
Click on the Edit button under the Actions column for Event Display you wish to customise.
On the Edit Display page, click on the Style tab in the right sidebar to edit any of the options described below.

Use Custom Font – click on the Use Custom Font button to enter details of any custom fonts you wish to use in this Display.

Enable Custom Font – turn on to use custom fonts
Font Embed Code – paste your custom font embed code
CSS Rules – paste CSS rules for your custom font
Click Apply to continue.

Background Image – upload a background image for this Display. For best results, the image should have an aspect ratio and resolution that matches the device intended for this Display. This option takes precedence over Background Colour (below).

Background Colour – lets you specify the background colour for this Display.

No. of Rows – determines how many rows of Tiles are shown. Only applicable for Quadrant, Spiral and Stream themes.

No. of Columns – determines how many columns of Tiles are shown. Only applicable for Flow, Quadrant and Spiral themes.

Tile Spacing - specify the space between Inline Tiles for this Display.

Cycle Mode – determines how Tiles are refreshed on this Display. Keyboard control is only applicable for digital screens connected to a computer and requires the user to press SPACE BAR or ENTER keys to refresh Tiles.
Interval – determines how often Tiles are refreshed and only applicable when Cycle Mode is set to Automatic.

Billboard theme specific options – only apply when Cycle Mode is set to Automatic.
Media Hold Duration – determines how long a Tile’s media (image or video) is shown on screen before the rest of the details (profile and text) are shown.
Tile Hold Duration – determines how long the full Tile is shown on screen before advancing to the next Tile.
Mute Videos – mutes sound on all video Tiles when enabled.

Slide Show theme specific options – only apply when Cycle Mode is set to Automatic.
Text/Image Duration – determines how long each text or image Tile remains visible on screen.
Video Duration – determines how long each video Tile remains visible on screen.
Play Full Video – when enabled, videos in Tiles are played in full regardless of duration. Overrides Video Duration setting.
Mute Videos – mutes sound on all video Tiles when enabled.

Animation – specify the animation style used to reveal new Tiles.

Duration – specify the transition time of the animation in milliseconds.

Click on the bottom right Save Changes button to save your changes when done.
