Downgrading to a different Plan

You can downgrade your Buzzspark account Plan at any time. Downgrades take place on your next billing date and you also have the option to cancel the downgrade at any point before then should you change your mind.

How to downgrade your account plan

Step 1: Navigate to the Billing page

From the left menu, browse to Settings > Billing.

Step 2: Select Downgrade

On the Billing page, click on the Change Plan button in the Subscription panel. This will launch the Change Account Plan modal as shown in the next step below.

Step 3: Select your new Plan

Select your new desired plan
If required, you can also change the billing cycle. Contact if you need to change from annual to monthly billing – note, this is only possible 30 days prior to renewal.
Click the Continue button

Step 4: Validating if downgrade is possible

Checks are carried before your account is scheduled for downgrading. For example, you may have several Users and Displays already configured in the account, which exceed the limits of the Plan you are trying to downgrade to.

If any conflicts are found, you will be presented with the details and options as shown below. If not, you can skip to next step.

This section outlines any items configured in your account that prohibit downgrading to the selected Plan.

You can click on the Select Another Plan button to go back and select a different Plan to downgrade to, or you can click the Cancel button and manually remove some of the items that are preventing the downgrade and try again.

Step 5: Cautionary Notice

If no conflicts were found during the validation checks in the previous step that prevent the downgrade, then the following notice is displayed.

Features and associated data that will be removed from the account due to the downgrade is detailed in the top half of the modal.

Click on the Continue button to proceed with the downgrade.

Step 6: Confirm changes

Details of the Plan you are changing from and to are detailed the at the top.
The new recurring amount is shown under You will be billed.

NOTE: As the downgrade is scheduled and carried out on your next billing date, it is possible for the downgrade to fail, for example, if items are added to the account between now and the next billing date that exceed the limits of the Plan you are downgrading to.

If you need to change your payment method, then this can be done by clicking on the Update button under Payment Method.
Click the Confirm Changes button to confirm and schedule the downgrade.

The Billing page will update to show details of your scheduled downgrade. On the next billing date, the downgrade will be attempted, and confirmation will be sent via email to the Buzzspark account owner and all account users with the Billing role.

Once a downgrade has been scheduled, you can also cancel the downgrade at anytime prior to the next billing date.
